Great day before our Holiday Break!

We started the day going to "Winnie the Pooh" at the Old Log Theater.  We got front row seats!  The students enjoyed the play!  Then we came back and I opened up all my wonderful gifts!  Thank you!
After lunch, the students started watching the original "Mary Poppins" movie.  We took some breaks to play musical chairs and Bingo!  We had a fantastic day!  I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  I will miss you all very much!  See you next year!!!!

No spelling words this week!

Reading: Unit 5 - Skill: Connections & Inferencing:
We will begin a new unit next week in reading, which can be a tricky one for some kids.  The unit will include students making inferences and connections. Making an inference means figuring out something that is not stated directly in a text. An inference is based on one or two clues in the text. Authors do not always tell readers everything, but they include clues that readers can put together for themselves.  Making inferences helps readers better understand the ideas in a text.
