Morning Meeting Schedule: Each student will have a time where they can share. We will start with a greeting and then students will have two minutes to tell a story, show or talk about something they would like to bring to share with the class. They will ask for three questions or comments. If they are bringing in an item to share, it must fit in their backpack.

Skill: Make Connections & Determining Cause and Effect
Moving
into our second week of the unit, students will begin making deeper connections
to texts they read. Students will
continue identifying cause and effect, but will be using a graphic organizer to
organize their thoughts. We will also
identify and discuss nonfiction text features (table of contents, glossary, and
sidebars).
