November 5th from 12:00-4:00pm, November 8th and 13th from 4:00-8:00pm.

Morning Meeting Schedule: Each student will have a time where they can share.  We will start with a greeting and then students will have two minutes to tell a story, show or talk about something they would like to bring to share with the class.  They will ask for three questions or comments.  If they are bringing in an item to share, it must fit in their backpack.

Unit 3 - Skill: Determine Text Importance & Identify Sequence of Events:
We are beginning a new unit in Benchmark Literacy: Determining Text Importance and Identifying Sequence of Events.  Students will learn that sometimes authors write about events in a specific order and that the order in which events happen is called a sequence.  We will be exploring signal words such as first, next, then, after, and finally.  Recognizing sequence helps readers follow directions, learn steps in a new process, and even understand how events unfold over time.

In Math:
We are working on different ways to solve story problems.  The students are getting so good at personalizing the way they solve each problem!

We also will continue to do our math fluency timed tests.  Everyone loved them!
