Reading & Writing - Unit 6: Fix-Up Monitoring & Summarize Information
We will be kicking off a new unit in reading involving summarization and learning fix-up monitoring strategies. We will learn that readers summarize by determining the most important ideas and restating
those ideas in their own words. We will also learn that summarizing helps readers recognize key points
and remember what they’ve read. Students will summarize what they see in pictures and read in text.
We will continue to work on writing complete sentences with correct punctuation.

Unit 4: Money and Subtraction!!!! We have been working on 2-digit and 3-digit subtraction.
The students have learned different strategies to help them with their regrouping/borrowing/ungrouping
(three different ways to say it). We will beginning working on addition and subtraction story problems
and rounding numbers to the nearest ten.
