Reading & Writing - Unit 6: Fix-Up Monitoring & Summarize Information
We will be moving into our final week of Unit 6. The students are learning how to summarize a passage
and story. They are looking for the main character (the someone), what that character wants (wants or
is trying to do), what problem the character runs into (the but of the story) and then the solution to the
problem (the then). Then they writing a summarizing sentence.
We will review nouns, verbs, prefixes, suffixes, and work on adverbs.
